We all remember our first class and know it is the first step to changing your life. This is a true beginners yoga, all you have to do is breathe. The teacher will tell you what you need to do in class and you can watch the other students. This basic series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, practiced in a hot room, is taught in a manner that allows the practice to be done by beginners, people with limited mobility, and people with chronic illness, but is also challenging enough for athletes. 

Commit to trying a few classes before you make a decision. It can take a few classes to get used to the heat, but in a short time you will start to love coming in, sweating, and how great you feel.  It's great if you can take your second class within 24 hours, this will help you get a jump start on your practice and will help you avoid any soreness you might otherwise experience.  

Our students come in all shapes, sizes, age groups and physical condition. We are a supportive yoga community, our teachers and students are always excited to welcome new students to the studio and make you comfortable. We are here to support you on your Bikram Yoga journey. For
First Timers

  • No pre-registration is required, every class is for beginners.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early for your first class.
  • You will need a yoga mat, a large towel and water for class. All these items are available at the studio.
  • Bring a second towel if you would like to shower after class.
  • Drink water prior to class, being well hydrated makes class more enjoyable.
  • It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach, try to avoid large meals 2 hours prior to class.
  • The yoga room is heated, dress in lightweight clothing.
  • Our teachers are available before and after class to answer any questions you may have about your practice.
